The City of Rifle is seeking a knowledgeable and creative individual to provide leadership and oversight for the City of Rifle's financial operations. This position is a key participant in the City's Management Team. The qualifying candidate must have strong management skills and a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably related to governmental financial operations. Required Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or related studies. Master's degree is considered a plus. Primary responsibilities include investment portfolio management, budgeting and financial reporting. Position will provide oversight and direction for utility billing, customer service, accounts payable, sales tax and payroll as well as financial and compliance audits. Candidate will oversee a total combined operating budget in excess of $27 million.
Salary will be based on experience, but will be in the range of $86,500 to $97,000, plus benefits. Rifle is a home-rule charter city under a Council-Manager form of government.
