Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and data processing management and staffs at the highest technical level on all phases of the project development cycle. Analyzes business requirements and defines information systems solutions to address complex business needs (projects are technically difficult, requiring innovative and creative solutions and frequently involve multiple platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools). Prepares written reports of findings and recommendations. Prepares business requirements reports, feasibility studies, and cost justification statements. Consults with client management on approaches to address business needs or opportunities. Provides linkage and continuity to business units, development, operations and technical support groups in the testing and implementation of recommendations. Acts as an expert technical resource to client and development management and staffs in all phases of the development and implementation process. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:

This position will provide business analysis and documentation support for the Hedge Technology team. The successful candidate will work closely with the business group to understand their needs, convert those needs to business requirements and program specifications, coordinate implementation with other affected systems, and document and train the business staff on procedure changes as a result of system enhancements.
 
This individual will perform other duties as the position requires, like reviewing and improving/automating existing business practices, documenting existing systems and processes, researching business questions and supporting conversions and other enterprise initiatives.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
·         Liaison between the business group and the system development staff
·         Developing business requirement documents for system enhancements
·         Developing technical specifications
·         Documenting system changes prior to implementation
·         Training business staff on new system functionality
·         Reviewing and improving existing business processes
·         Answering/researching business questions about system data
·         Preparing charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing problems and documenting requirements , processes and business functions
 
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills with minimum of 5 years proven experience in development and design of complex business requirements
·         Strong oral and written communication skills
·         Ability to take direction and juggle multiple priorities with minimum supervision
·         Proven flexibility and adaptability in effectively driving results in an environment of changing priorities
·         Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and cultivate strong partnerships with clients and internal business partners
·         Proven ability to work independently on multiple tasks with commitment and willingness to see issues through to resolution
·         Ability to find innovative solutions; ability to think critically and creatively
·         Ability to understand and implement complete project life cycle methodology
·         Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or equivalent work experience
·         Project Management experience
·         Business Analysis Certification a plus
          Annuity hedging experience preferred.
