We are seeking an EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT – HEAD OF COMMERCIAL BANKING for our Bank Holding Company to be headquartered in Jacksonville, FL with locations in Orlando, Tampa, Tallahassee and Pensacola.

The Commercial Banking Executive will be responsible for the oversight of the commercial business line, and all initiatives to assure successful service delivery and fulfillment of strategy. Responsibilities of the position include deposit and lending services, new product research and development, customer service and loyalty delivery systems, employee enrichment, education and training, performance management, annual cost/benefit analysis of existing products, preparation of detailed reports for committee and board meetings and related regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the bank President&CEO.
Position to be based in Jacksonville, FL

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Top leader for Commercial business line bank-wide executing through market presidents.

The individual in this role is expected to apply full knowledge of commercial banking operations and best practice management techniques to provide for effective and efficient management of all commercial teams within the bank. Individuals must maintain knowledge and awareness of current bank deposit, lending, services, operations, marketing and personnel-related policies.

Responsible for the effective and efficient work performance of assigned employees, including carrying out the Performance Evaluation process.

Responsible to effectively recommend and participate in all personnel actions regarding assigned employees and to assure that assigned personnel, equipment and space are utilized in the most effective and efficient manner.

Participates in planning and budgeting and maintains awareness of economic factors effecting the achievement of established organizational goals.

Participates in community outreach efforts that are not limited to education and promotion of the bank in the communities that we serve.

Attend Board and committee meetings as requested.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:

Bachelor’s degree in the field of business management, finance or economics and 20 years progressively responsible bank management experience with specific emphasis in commercial banking, administration and regulatory compliance.

Requires supervisory experience of 10+ years in a similar work situation (preferably leadership of a 4+ team region), including demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and organize service delivery, establish objectives while mentoring and developing staff. Effectively coordinate and delegate work duties.

Requires ability to gather, analyze and prepare sophisticated reports related to commercial bank performance..Demonstrated ability to utilize management and leadership best practices to plan, direct, schedule and review the work performance of assigned employees in a manner conducive to proficient performance and high morale. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Senior management, other departments, outside service-related agencies and vendors.
