$1 billion Northern California Community Bank is seeking an ambitious, highly motivated individual to join out team.

Responsible for the coordination of the internal and external financial reporting process, accounting research, and implementation of new accounting standards. Responsible for the coordination of the annual internal and external audits over financial reporting.


1.Coordinates the generation of all accounting data for the accurate and compliant preparation of quarterly and annual reports for the SEC and the Regulatory agencies. Serves as liaison with legal advisors and internal/external auditors to ensure flow of necessary data to and from.

2.Prepare and/or review external and internal reports, including quarterly earnings releases, quarterly and annual SEC filings, annual report to shareholders, quarterly Regulatory reports and monthly reports to the Board of Directors.

3.Supervises, trains and manages workflow of certain accounting department staff so that department functions are effective at providing accurate, informative and compliant financial information pertaining to SEC and Regulatory reporting. This shall include delegating appropriate responsibilities, establishing objectives, monitoring progress against objectives, providing guidance and motivation as necessary to achieve objectives.

4.Update accounting policies and procedures to maintain adherence with generally accepted accounting practices and federal banking laws. Research and implement new accounting pronouncements and regulatory accounting practices.

5.Provides timely and accurate financial information to the Controller that is informative and necessary for planning and decision making.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Spacer Image
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
2. Minimum of three (3) years of financial reporting for a public company
and/or
3. Three (3) to five (5) years public accounting experience focusing on
financial institutions.
4. CPA and/or MBA are strongly desired.
