The Controller is accountable for the accounting operations of
the company to include the production of financial reports,
maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and
notification to owners and designated leaders of activities and
decisions as directed. As well, the Controller will create a
comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate
risk, enhance the accuracy of reported financial results, and
ensure that information complies with generally accepted accounting
Essential Duties and
Evaluate capital structure, costs, operations, and competitive
environment; and identify key business drivers, trends in
profitability, and significant concentrations of risk.
Develop and maintain departmental goals, objectives,
performance measures, policies and procedures, internal

Monitor long range economic trends, and project company
prospects for future growth.
Develop and/or manage preparation of budget and financial
forecasts, financial statements, key financial indicators, cash
flow, and income and balance sheet statements.
Monitor and analyze monthly fiscal results and operational

Perform analysis and interpretation of fiscal and accounting
data to assess profitability and performance.
Maintain benchmarks for financial and operational performance
for various departments, and offer guidance and direction.
Direct financial audits and offer suggestions for
Oversee business legal activities, including negotiation of
customer and vendor contracts, and work with outside legal counsel
as necessary. Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations
and investment decisions.
Prepare business valuations, and develop purchase and sale
Manage banking relationships and capital-raising activities for
expansion and growth.
Work with appropriate leadership to oversee and/or approve
expenditures, position control documents, and mass salary
Oversee third party reporting, tax planning, payroll, and taxes
and proactively include and/or update leadership of status and
Provide recommendations for business insurance coverage to
protect from loss or liability.
Research and survey brokers for employee benefits, and provide
leadership with options for decisions and approval.
Maintain minutes for the corporation.
Lead, direct and develop accounting and legal staff to maximize
individual and team performance.
Oversee accounting department organizational structure and
daily operations to achieve department goals and objectives.
Oversee inventory control and IT support.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with a
variety of internal and external professionals.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting
Attend appropriate industry conferences; and participate in
industry, client, and community relations to enhance company
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.MBA and/or CPA
designation is preferred.
Minimum ten years' hands-on managerial accounting experience.
Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
Experience with cost accounting, general ledger accounting,
budgeting, financial forecasting, cost analysis, strategic business
analysis and planning, accounts payable, accounts receivable,
payroll, financial reporting, income tax preparation, and
Experience with reading, interpreting, and applying contract
Effectual leadership abilities with experience leading,
directing, coaching and developing personnel.
Detail and accuracy oriented.
Analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities with competing

Adept with ERP/MRP systems, preferably MIE Trak; and proficient
with QuickBooks and PayChex, or other accounting and payroll

Outlook; expert level skills in Excel with ability to write macros,
work with pivot tables, write complex formulas, and work with
